Bell: Scheduling Temporarily Paused

As of June 1, 2026, Bell’s scratch storage is available but not performing as well as normal. Compute on Bell remains available, but overall performance may be slower while we continue to work on the issue with our vendor.
We will share another update once performance has been fully restored or we have more information to share.

Update: Bell Scratch Storage Operating in Reduced Performance Mode
The issue impacting scratch storage on Bell has been mitigated and job scheduling has resumed. Scratch storage is currently functioning in a diminished state, with writes temporarily directed to HDD storage while we continue investigating the root cause. Users may experience slower-than-normal performance during this time. We will provide further updates as more information becomes available.
