Geddes Service Still Unavailable – Update by 2:00PM

Maintenance and post‑outage validation have been completed for all RCAC systems except Geddes, which remains unavailable while engineers continue troubleshooting and final verification.

At this time: • Geddes is still offline and not available for general use. • All other RCAC clusters, storage, gateway services, and the Research Network have been returned to service.

We will provide an updated status for Geddes by 1:00 PM, or earlier if service is restored sooner.

Most RCAC systems have been returned to service following the recent maintenance; however, a few systems remain unavailable while post‑maintenance work continues. The following systems are still in progress and not yet ready for general use:

  • Negishi
  • Anvil
  • Geddes

Engineers are actively working to complete validation and restore these systems. The next update on their status will be provided by 10:00 AM tomorrow.

The ongoing RCAC maintenance originally scheduled to conclude at 5:00 PM today (Thursday, April 23) has been extended. The new expected completion time is 9:00 PM tonight, Thursday, April 23.

All RCAC systems and Research Network services will remain unavailable during this extended window.

We appreciate your continued patience as we complete these critical upgrades to improve RCAC infrastructure reliability and performance.
